Event Description:
Plans are underway for the 2017 Heroes of Hollywood Luncheon hosted by the Hollywood Chamber Community Foundation. The annual event will be held once again at the Taglyan Cultural Complex on Thursday, June 1st.

The Heroes of Hollywood Committee is proud to recognize these Heroes: Baydsar Thomasian, Deputy District Director, Office of President Pro Tempore Kevin de León; Beatrice Girmala, Assistant Chief, Director of the Office of Special Operations for the Los Angeles Police Department; John Lyons, Owner of Avalon Hollywood; and Pink’s Hot Dogs, Hollywood’s most iconic hot dog stand for over 75 years.

Additionally, Founder and President of the Hollywood Museum in the Historic Max Factor Building, Donelle Dadigan, will be honored with The Distinguished Service Award in Memory of Johnny Grant. Entertainment journalist and television host of Entertainment Tonight, Nancy O’Dell, will be honored with the Mary Pickford Award.

The Awards recognizes outstanding individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations that have taken extraordinary strides for the Hollywood community. All net proceeds will be awarded in the form of grants to non-profit organizations that provide homeless services, education, healthcare, arts programs, public safety, and other services for the local community.

The Community Foundation is an organization within the Hollywood Chamber that promotes the well-being of non-profit organizations in Hollywood and supports the educational, cultural, and economic interests of the community.  The Foundation hosts two major fundraisers each year: The Heroes of Hollywood Awards Luncheon and the All Hallow's Eve Fundraiser.  All net proceeds are awarded in the form of grants to non-profit organizations serving the Hollywood area.  www.hollywoodchamber.net/foundation
