A panel of established retail businesses will be discussing ‘The Retail Revolution for Hollywood’ at the 2018 Hollywood Economic Development Summit on Thursday, June 21st at the ArcLight Hollywood. The Chamber’s 24th annual event will run from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Early Bird admission rate is $ $50 through May 21st. Register online at www.hollywoodchamber.net/summit.

In today’s economy, no one is experiencing change like the retail industry. More shoppers have embraced the digital revolution which has changed the behavior and demands of consumers. This panel of retail specialists will explore the results of a Chamber commissioned report exploring retail opportunities in Hollywood and address the perception the industry has in regard to doing business in our neighborhood.

Guest panelists to include Pat Barber, Vice President of Real Estate at Smart & Final; Michael Dubin, Founder of Dubin & Associates; Keith Kaplan, Vice President Development, Westfield Corp.; David Sheldon, Retail Design Collective. The panel will offer and overview of the supply and demand study. They will tackle experiential retail opportunities, neighborhood needs, retail adaptation patterns, as well as brick and mortar conversions.

Attendees will be among the first to hear the results of the Hollywood Survey, an initiative commissioned by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of this survey is to help capture demographic, behavioral, and attitudinal analytics of the diverse people who make up this thriving community in the heart of Los Angeles. The goal is to further the economic revitalization of this historic community by helping businesses, investors, and policymakers better identify and understand “who” Hollywood is today; “what” drives behavior; and “how” respondents feel about various aspects of living, working and/or visiting Hollywood.

Attendees will also receive a copy of the popular Hollywood Economic Development Update 2018 which highlights projects currently under development in Hollywood, and the Chamber’s annual publication Hollywood Guide & Community Profile.
