Chamber PAC Reminds Voters to Cast Their Vote Tuesday, June 7th Primary Elections

One of the many services provided by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is advocacy. The Chamber’s goal is to not only keep our members informed regarding legislation affecting our community, but also to ensure our elected officials understand the specific issues and needs of Hollywood. For this reason, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee encourages all Angelenos to get out and vote on June 7th.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (PAC) announced endorsements in the following races for the June 7th Primary Elections:
Richard Bloom, California Assembly District 50
Laura Friedman, California Assembly District 43
Adrin Nazarian, for California Assembly District 46
 
“The Hollywood Chamber PAC is proud to endorse Richard Bloom, Laura Friedman and Adrin Nazarian for their respective Assembly seats, stated PAC Chair Mark R. Edwards. “As Hollywood’s current Assemblymembers, Richard Bloom and Adrin Nazarian have a proven record in the Hollywood business community and have fought tirelessly to create a vibrant and thriving Hollywood for residents and visitors alike.   We have seen first-hand their passion and commitment for Hollywood.”

Laura Friedman is running for current Assemblymember, Mike Gatto’s 43rd Assembly District seat. Gatto will be termed out at the end of this session.  Edwards commented, “Laura Friedman will be an outstanding champion for a healthy economy in Hollywood and throughout the State.  Laura’s time on the Glendale City Council has shown time and time again that she knows how to get things done for the business community helping to revitalize her downtown and attract thousands of good jobs to Glendale along the San Fernando Corridor.  We are confident that her pragmatic approach to City governance will carry over to her tenure in the California State Assembly. We are pleased to provide Laura with our full support in her efforts to represent Hollywood in the State Assembly.”
 
The PAC recognizes the importance of this election in determining the future for our Hollywood business community and for businesses throughout Los Angeles. The PAC encourages all Angelenos to get out and vote on June 7th.
 
The PAC was established in 2010 by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to strengthen the voice of the Hollywood Business Community among elected officials. The PAC is an essential tool in advancing the business community agenda at local, state, and federal levels and will provide an additional forum to actively engage legislators on the needs and concerns of Hollywood Chamber members and the Hollywood business community.
