Intimate portraits grant the viewer a shift in perception\, offering an uninhibited look into the private BDSM life.\n\n"Dektor's photographs capture the vision of Robert Mapplethorpe's ground work" Carlos Benitez\, Gallerist\n\n Director and cinematographer Mark Dektor began his career in the advertising industry\, but changed directions to fine art photography when fueled with a desire to fulfill an unrequited dimension in his creativity. A subculture of mystique opens up to Dektor's lens\, breaking down misconceptions and allowing others to witness the intrigue of BDSM purely. Power dynamics become visible with a vulnerability not often experienced. True personalities are exposed yet maintain the same level of credence. In essence\, Dektor's work becomes a showcase of pent up emotions to finally emancipate freely\, becoming a visual delight for all to behold.\n\nMark Dektor will debut thirty-six black-and-white photographs exploring multiple subject matter from his bulging archive\, which features no fewer than 5\,000 digital originals\, at AC Gallery and within the recently completed White Cube exhibition space inside the gallery\, a space dedicated to solo and collaborative long-term projects.
