AC Gallery presents HOMAGE: Tab Hunter Paintings x Vance Lorenzini
AC Gallery presents HOMAGE: TAB HUNTER PAINTINGS, a solo exhibition by artist and director Vance Lorenzini. A red carpet life celebration and tribute of fine art paintings honoring late movie star Tab Hunter, the works in the exhibition offer a glimpse into the ground-breaking career and extraordinary life of a Hollywood idol turned American icon.
The famed video director and artist Vance Lorenzini has focused on nearly 20 images of Hunter to create a series of life-size paintings to be unveiled for the first time. Tab Hunter’s memorial service was held in July 2018 during a private ceremony near his home in Montecito and the exhibition, to be hosted by Hunter’s life partner of three decades Allan Glaser, will mark the first public event to memorialize him.
Vance Lorenzini is an American west coast artist that works with popular cultural subjects. His body of work explores the relationship between artistic expressions, cinematic images, celebrities, culture, advertisement, branding and related musical themes. Lorenzini has produced and designed hundreds of music videos and television commercials as well as several feature films and TV projects. He has created music videos for artists such as Madonna, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, Prince, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Dr Dre. Vance Lorenzini has been recognized with numerous awards for artistic excellence and his collective work has been honored by the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
