About Us

2 hours from Hollywood. This private estate is a 1920s Spanish revival with Hollywood history. There are four individual vacation-rental casita suites, each with private entrances and baths. The property is designed for travelers who want a private getaway in a garden setting with luxury amenities. The estate is walled and gated and includes a solar-heated saltwater pool and spa surrounded by a panoply of majestic 75' palm trees and botanical gardens—the perfect romantic location for relaxing in quiet surroundings. Upon request, we entertain weddings and special events.

Nestled in the historic Old Las Palmas area of Palm Springs, Casa de Monte Vista is one of the original homes built in the late 1920s and is available for vacation rentals, weddings and ceremonies, filming and photoshoots, special events and corporate meetings. Frequented by some of the most legendary luminaries from Hollywood, this Old Spanish Estate has the secluded and nostalgic atmosphere that Palm Springs is known for. Owned by Robert Stack in the 1950s, the property was a common gathering place for The Rat Pack during the 1960s.

Complete with a “caterer ready” full kitchen, Casa de Monte Vista in Palm Springs has a covered patio with AC for dancing, guest casitas for elegant overnight stays, palatial grounds, lush landscaping and spectacular mountain views. Chosen as the location for the Liberace movie “Behind The Candelabra” starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, this walled and gated Spanish Estate evokes the essence of old Palm Springs.
