Attendees of this year’s Economic Development Summit will be among the first to receive the current issue of the popular Hollywood Development Update 2017. The annual publication includes information on 92 projects in the pipeline for Hollywood.

The facts about Hollywood reveal that what’s commonly referred to as the hub of the entertainment industry, the most-famous community has been a hot spot for millennials and companies alike and continues drawing an unprecedented comeback! Since 2003, a total of 5,000 housing units have been built in Hollywood. In 2017, there are currently 2,800 housing units under construction and another 6,900 units in the pipeline. Three hotels with more than 500 rooms will come on line in 2017, with another 13 hotels with more than 2,000 rooms proposed. There is 450,000SF of commercial office space under construction in 2017, with another 693,000SF proposed.

In addition, the publication highlights a list of ten reasons why Hollywood is the place to work, create and live! In fact, the Hollywood Chamber featured at its annual Economic Development Summit this year the theme of “Building a livable Hollywood” where community leaders, businesses and residents come together to learn more about the future of Hollywood.

The update shows existing, new and projected developments on a map of the community. These include Commercial and Retail projects, Educational Facilities, Hotels, Medical Facilities, Office Rehabilitations and New Construction, Public Facilities, New Residential and Mixed Use. The last category represents the bulk of projects in the area with more than 50 upcoming developments in the pipelines.

The 24x10.5 color spread shows renderings of projects along with most project and offers a brief introduction to each project mentioned, developer, address and projected progress.
