City Planning Director Bertoni to Open Economic Development Summit

With more than 27 years of professional planning experience, Bertoni leads the largest city planning department in the nation. He is charged with developing policies that shape the future of the City and guide development decisions for a diverse and dynamic metropolis of over four-million people. Prior to his L.A. appointment, Bertoni was the Director of Planning and Community Development for the City of Pasadena, where he successfully managed that city’s planning program through a General Plan update. He also served as Deputy Director for the City of Los Angeles previously and held lead planning posts for the cities of Beverly Hills, Santa Clarita, and Malibu.
The theme for this year’s Summit is Building a Livable Hollywood: Work+Create+Live, Bertoni is expected to address how proper planning helps to make cities livable as well as the upcoming review of the proposed Hollywood Community Plan update.
The Chamber’s most popular annual publication, the Hollywood Development Update for 2017, will also be distributed at the conference with information about 92 projects in the pipeline for Hollywood.
